Stop Road Crashes’ “Cinco de Mayo” Baseball Game Strikes a Hit for Road Safety

Dear Supporters,

Southern Nevada, we couldn’t be prouder! Last Sunday marked a significant milestone for Stop Road Crashes as we hosted our inaugural large-scale event, the “Cinco de Mayo” baseball game in collaboration with the Las Vegas Aviators. The Aviator fans and their enthusiasm surpassed our expectations, and we owe it all to you.

The day kicked off with an exhilarating moment as our very own Hal Goldblatt, accompanied by his wife Shawn and son Eliezer, threw the ceremonial first pitch. It was a symbolic gesture, signifying our commitment to championing road safety in our community.

Over the next two and a half hours, we immersed ourselves in spreading awareness and education on road safety, engaging with fans, and welcoming new members into our cause. Among the highlights were the distribution of free gifts, including cooling towels and squeezable stress baseballs, which proved to be instant fan favorites.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our generous sponsors. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bighorn Law for their substantial contribution towards the giveaways, as well as to City Councilman Brian Knudsen, Mayor Pro Tem from Ward 1, for their invaluable support.

A special mention goes out to Metro Officer Mike Thiele for orchestrating an immersive experience with the department’s cutting-edge race car simulator. Fans were thrilled at the opportunity to step into the driver’s seat of an “Indy Car” type simulator, complete with all the bells and whistles, providing a firsthand insight into the importance of safe driving practices.

Last but certainly not least, we extend our sincere appreciation to the Las Vegas Aviators sales and support staff. Their seamless coordination ensured the smooth execution of logistics, and their commitment went beyond by generously donating $5 for every seat sold to the game, further bolstering our efforts in promoting road safety.

In conclusion, the success of the “Cinco de Mayo” baseball game underscores the power of community collaboration and solidarity in advancing our mission to Stop Road Crashes. Together, we are making strides towards a safer, more responsible road culture.

Thank you, Southern Nevada, for your unwavering support and dedication. Let’s continue driving change, one step at a time.
